The short version
- We don’t sell your data. Ever.
- We don’t train models on your data.
- The browser extension keeps your settings and history on your device.
- The analyzer scans the URL you submit and discards the page payload after producing the report.
- You can wipe everything by emailing privacy@webable.cc.
Waitlist
When you join the extension or product waitlist, we collect:
- The email address you submit.
- The waitlist source (which form you used).
- A timestamp.
That’s the entire record. We use it to send launch updates and to invite you to early access in batches. We don’t add you to drip sequences or sell the list. Unsubscribe links are in every email.
Analyzer
When you submit a URL to webable.cc/analyzer, we collect and process:
- The URL you entered.
- The scan output: Lighthouse scores and audits, Core Web Vitals, CrUX field data (from Google’s public dataset), SEO and AEO/GEO signals, security-header probe results, and discoverability probes.
- Basic technical metadata: your IP for rate-limiting, your User-Agent, and the timestamp of the scan.
We do not store the page’s HTML, screenshots, or full body content after the report is built. When the optional KV cache is configured, only the normalized result JSON is stored, keyed by a short hash of the URL plus scan time, for 24 hours so a shareable result URL keeps working.
The browser extension
The extension runs entirely on your device as a content script. Your adjustments (the tools you turn on, their settings, and a per-site memory of them) are stored in chrome.storage.local, kept separately for each website you visit. An optional Google Gemini API key, if you add one, is stored the same way. None of it is sent to a WebAble server.
It needs access to the pages you visit so the accessibility tools can work on any site, but that access is used only to render the menu and apply the adjustments you choose. It does not track which sites you visit, how long you stay, or what you click, and it includes no analytics or telemetry. Uninstalling removes everything it stored.
AI features
The optional AI features (asking a question about a page, translating or explaining a selection, plain-language rewrites, summaries, and image alt-text) are bring-your-own-key. They never run on their own: nothing leaves your browser until you explicitly click one of them. When you do, the relevant content (an image, the text you selected, or the current article) is sent directly from your browser to Google using your own key. It never passes through a WebAble server, and we never see your key, the content, or the responses.
Without a key, the AI section stays locked and every other tool still works, fully and for free.
Cookies and trackers on this marketing site
We use minimal first-party analytics (page views, basic device class) to understand what’s working and what isn’t. We don’t use third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or session-replay tools that record your behaviour.
Selling, sharing, training
We don’t sell, rent, share, or trade your data with anyone. We don’t use it to train any model, ours or anyone else’s. We don’t feed it into “partner networks.”
Deleting your data
Email privacy@webable.cc and tell us what to remove. We’ll confirm within five business days. You can also unsubscribe from any email directly via the link in its footer.
Changes to this notice
If we materially change how we handle data, we’ll update the Last updated date and announce the change on the homepage and via the waitlist. We won’t quietly swap stricter language for looser language.
